Purple cotton, Japanese yukata, vintage kimono pieces combined with hand painted cotton fabrics were used to create the flattering below hip length jacket. Machine channel stitching, sashiko stitching done by hand using rayon thread in the Bamboo Fence pattern. Precious beads, buttons and charms complete this coat for my red haired friend with an exuberant personality. The lining is rayon and has an Inner Life stenciled with symbols that are meaningful to Peggy and a hidden message from me.
